I just found a old dirty 1997 Red Mariah Talari cuddy cabin for sale on craigs list and wanted to learn more about this real cool boat.
Owner is selling it with a "bad" chevy 350 that knocks. This is my first encounter with a Mariah and was blown away how cool the interior and hull design is.
I will offer a low-ball price full knowing the money I will need to get the chevy back up and running.
Q. How much was this boat new ? $40,000 ?

Looks like it went for 28-30,000 list. Average condition retail now , around 7-8000. That's for a running boat with minimal flaws.

Thanks Boss, So $28,000 in 1997 was real money ~ remember gas was $1.42 per gallon ~
This Red 1997 Talari 21 Cuddy has been neglected after 15 years but like an old sports car its time to buff it out and rebuild the Chevy 350 Mercruiser 260. Great 2013 winter project , I've seen alot of boats and this one really is something special & deserves better.
Its a perfect Lake Michigan Cuddy Cabin Boat and the original matching dual axle trailer package.
Very thankful that there is this Mariah Owners Club website.

Found a 1997 Mariah Fold-out brochure on eBay.
3 models 9 Special Edition
12 Mariah Models
17 Z models
Plus limited edition models which had solid colors ext. with
Buckskin interior

Out of all the 38 models offered in 1997
6 are listed as PC Talari's (?) what is PC

Wonder what they meant by V-Pad hull ?
