Don't know that I would want a power hatch.

I got some Low-rider friends who could hook you up with some hydro-lifts and get that hatch open really quick!! :wink_thumbup:

Just make sure there's no one on the Sunpad when you open it or it's "Houston, we have a launch!" :yes_grin: :very_evil: :yes_grin:

hi guys

My Z252 Shabah has the power hatch disconnected, with two gas struts in its place, i think the preivious owner disconected it to fit a battery power switch in the motor compartment. i would like to refit the power lift , but wondering how to refit the battery power switch in a better position , so i can switch on from the boat deck instead of lifting the hatch first

Well, my sundeck power lift problem was fixed for about a year (stopped working last year, found a corroded fuse). Now I have a strange occurence where one of the two lifts stops working - and after the boat sitting for a while, starts working again.?

When I could see one side working and not the other, I flipped up the seat and pulled the tube out that way. The next morning I went out to work on it and both lifts worked perfectly. 2 weeks later - after rewiring the connections by the lift - the same sequence of events. I don't think it is the switch as I tried it MANY times (seeking a bad switch connection). It's almost as if it trips a breaker - which is reset after a good night's sleep :).

Any tips?

appologies for my absence, but my wife had an operation and has been a pain in the a*** but she's better now, I posted some questions about Power Hatch lifts a while ago, my Z252 has had it disconected and Gas struts put in place, i wanted to put the power lift back, but this ment moving the battery switch from under the engine compartment, after reading the latest postings i think the gas struts are the better option, a bit of muscle won't hurt and could be easier than trying to lift the hatch if i get a flat battery, also the thought that the circuit breaker could fail would be a pain. it's great to see all the pins on the member map. if we get many more members in the States the map would need to be enlarged.

i have not seen my boat since March and getting a bit broody, but i will be in florida for a month in july and i will for shure put plenty of hours on her

Hi Ed,

While you're having fun with your Mariah, make sure to get some snap shots and put them on the galley for the rest of us to admire!

Funny but our Z240 didn't come with a power lift, so I replaced the current gas shocks with a fresh set of 120lb gas shocks off of eBay (Great price, I highly recommend the seller). What a difference, it still takes a little effort to initially open the hatch but after that it's a lot easier and a little past half way, it goes up by itself and stays there, cool!
