I took my boat to a shop today for an estimate on repairing the blisters on my hull. they quoted me $3000. I just recently bought this boat and now I am regretting it. Any Thoughts?

Use the boat, trailer it every day and forget about it! My 93 Talari has some blistering on the hull and I may try fix them eventually but the only negative is the cosmetic issue. I wouldn't however leave the boat in a slip in the water all summer long. This could speed up the osmotic blistering and might cause structural issues. The previous owner of my boat had it in a slip year after year and I'm pretty sure that was the root cause of the blisters. I didn't see the blisters when I bought the boat but I'm still happy with my purchase!

Learn to do the repair yourself. Its not difficult and you dont have to do it all at once. Do a couple at a time and follow ShabahZ250's "How To" on hull repairs that i pointed out in your other thread.

Thanks for info. For the upcoming season I plan on trailering the boat. I did look at ShabaZ250's post on this subject and thought about doing it myself, but I do not have a heated garage, so I would have to wait until the weather is warmer. My blisters run from bow to stern, the more I look, the more I find. Thanks again for info and thoughts.
