Default Screw Cover replacement.

Does anyone know the correct taylor made product number for the vinyl screw cover I need for a 1996 talari? The product list recemmends waterbonnet.com - which is no longer in business. Taylor made has sent me several samples, none of which are the correct product.

Please help.

I think that when i replaced my foam windshield screw cover a few yrs ago, i simply went to the local Lowes/Home Depot store and found some winter draft stop stuff that was the right size & shape.

if you are talking about the plastic colored screw caps, try your local stereo shop.

Thanks so much. So I am guessing there is no vinyl option, just the foam. I'll pick some up.

    Thank you very much.

That happens to be the one product they did not send me a sample of because they were certain it was not the right one. I will call them to send out a sample.

I'll keep you posted. Thanks again.

    plenty,

I do not know if it would fit a Mariah screw cover track, but I purchased, back in 2000, some hard vinyl snap in screw cover from Taylor Made (#833892). It was for my 1985 Sea Ray. My first concern with it, on your Mariah, is that it may not seat properly on your curved windshield. All of the sections on my Sea Ray were straight and flat.

On my Sea Ray, where the screw cover slot tapered at the end, it was not a very secure fit because you lose a section of the snap in feature when you cut the cover for the taper. That product also dries out and shrinks. At one of its tapered ends, it even warped in the sun. If I had to do it again, I would go with one of the soft foam screw covers. I they shrink or get damaged, all you have to do is cut out the bad piece and insert a new section.

    Well, that is my $0.02.

    Good Luck
