Guys,
Ive been debating fixing or selling the boat as is. But if i try to sell as is I have no idea where to start so curious to your thoughts. I have a 01 Z252 with roughly 400 hours, the boat is by no means perfect, it needs the sundeck recovered but otherwise looks pretty darn good. The bad is that the engine need a oil ring. It broke and pushes oil out the exhaust, the boat runs great and if you keep oil in it it does run but the reality is the motor has to come out and the bottom end needs to be looked over and at least the oil rings replaced.

1-I can pull this motor and i will rebuild it myself the issue is time and if i really feel like doing this project( i own an automotive shop so i have the facilities to do this)

2- just sell this as a project for someone else. I got this boat for a great price and i feel i wont loose my rear even selling it to someone as a project/deal BUT where do i start?

ideas?

is this a 5k boat or 8k as is?

Well this is no boat flipping market. However, with your having the facility and capabilities at hand to fix it I really think it would pay off to do so.
I think you'd be hard pressed to get 8 out of it as is but fixed it should bring well over 12.

Ok appreciate your thoughts, this isnt a flip though, its been my boat for the past 5 years. Just got a killer deal for it back in the day so not sure which route to take now.
