Make sure all the electrics work, particularly things like the outdrive trim etc. Examine the outdrive bellows closely also for cracks or splits. Make sure she starts & runs smoothly & shifts firmly ('clunks' are normal with an Alpha outdrive). Check the bilge for water before you go out for a cruise and again afterward to see if there are any leaks. Check the fluid level in the outdrive and the engine before you head out. Check to see if the rear deck lift motors (if equipped) work properly too. These are all things that would be costly to put right. I'm sure there's other things to check too...
