Default What is it?

I am looking at buying a Mariah boat. It was advertised as a 1990 19'. There is a model number by the throttle that says 181/0. VIN MAB00986K091. Can anybody tell me the year and what it is from these numbers?

Thanks,
Jeff

Based on a Google search the last two numbers are the year so it may be a late 1990 and basically a 1991 model. Hope this helps.

1991 Mariah MX-18, with a Mercruiser 175 (4.3L 2 barrel carb), Super Sport interior, Walk Thru Curtain, Charcoal Carpet, Pearl & Red color combo, originally made on 10/28/1990 and shipped to Mid Kansas Marine on 11/6/1990.

Hope this helps! That's straight from copies of the factory build sheets!

Very nice, ShabahZ250. Mid Kansas Marine is here in Wichita (actually Andover area and they have a shop in Hutchinson too). Mid America is now the area Mariah dealer but I wouldn't rely on them for anything on any older boat. However, as you can clearly see, there are plenty other reliable and impressive sources of information. Hope you're in the ICT area and we'll be glad to see another Mariah on the water this coming season! Good luck with your hunt!

New Mariahs manufactured by SeaFox are made in South Carolina. The one in question is an original Mariah and was manufactured by the Mariah Boat Co. in Benton, Illinois. They are two completely seperate companies and very different boats. You can read about what happened here.
