Default A few end of season projects

I thought I would share some after season projects with everyone that we did.

First my dad and I used a 3 stage Meguiar's Fiberglass restoration kit. It took about 2 solid days in all. It definitely took a few years off the ol boat.

The next project we installed a new Sony cd player since the old one did not work. The left rear speaker was still not working after the install so we traced the speaker wire and found it had been cut off so we ran a new wire to it. I also added a speaker in the bow which wasn't too hard to do. Also we added a horn switch next to the power seat switch since for whatever reason there was no horn switch when we got it.

I was able to find new "Mariah" and shield decals for each side and I can't believe how much better it makes it look.

Befores

Afters

Our last project is replacing the triangle piece of glass on the driver's side behind the window that opens. We got the piece cut at a local shop from tracing the opposite side and are now waiting for a way to fix it in place since the original gasket was missing.

So, how many days until spring???

Patrick

    haha, Mikey.
Looks good, Easy. I always like to see how much difference things as simple as new decals make. Glad to hear more positive feedback on that restoration kit too.

If you go butal tape any body shop supply should have it for something that small if you ask your glass guy real nice he might clip you the size you need was quite common for automotive windshields might still be but out of the bizz now so who knows with technology from the one I did on my old boat and a couple others I have seen that rubber gasket pice should be available to I would think just a guess though good luck looks great.

We used a foam roll since we couldn't find a gasket then used sealant caulk around everything.
