I've been looking for a 6,500 pound capacity. Figure the boat is close to 5,000 plus stuff. That has to be tandem axle. I prefer roller trailers, but bunks are ok. You'll need to make sure the rollers or bunks are adjustable to fit the hull. I've tried a couple of fixed bunks (welded in place) and they didn't fit right.

Good luck! New trailer is going to run $3,500-$4,000 (USD)

    thanks MAJIC

I thought about 6500lbs. would i have to have a trailer for a V hull or do you adapt the trailer to fit. i have been looking at used trailers they seem to range at about $2000 to $2500. so maybe its best to by new just for the warrantee and reliability.
    thanks again

The trailer for my z255 was toast this year and had rusted out completely on the main and rear beams. The thing sounded like cardboard when you tapped it instead of steel. I took it to a local fab shop and they rebuilt the whole thing for about 1800.00. They used the axles, bunks, lights and anyother salvageable parts and the new trailer turned out great. Work is pretty slow right now and a couple of the Utah trailer manfacturers I called were wheelin and dealin. I had one of them, metal craft trailers get down into the 3100.00 dollar range for a bare bones custom made trailer.

my 2 cents: if you're going spend over $2,500 - go new. If you're more north than south, this is a good time of year to wheel and deal vegaskid found out as dealers need to clear inventory.

Most trailers are setup for a v hull especially for boats this size. There are specific layouts for pontoons, catamarans, and flat boats (don't see many flats over 20' though...).

i looked on craig list and there was a trailer for $1300. that had a repaired I beam ? not to sure about that i would think the I beam is one of the main parts, I would hate to be towing and the boat ends up on the floor and im towing just a bit of trailer .
