Default Bow Speakers

Has anyone installed speakers in the bow on a Open bow? If so could you please post pictures? My daughter always wants the radio cranked so she can hear it up in the open bow while we are crusing. I don't have a problem with the wiring, only the placement. I have a 1996 200 open bow.
Thanks

I've seen a speaker before below the front cushion facing the rear.

That's the usual spot for front speakers and as a bonus the wiring is already in place.

Here are a couple of pics of my bow speakers. It really isn't hard. A 5" hole saw really speeds things up. Just make sure you don't keep drilling or you will have to install some really big docking lights to fill the holes on the hull.

Thanks for the pictures. That is exactly what I was looking for. What size speakers did you use?

They are 6.5" Kicker speakers. They sound great.

Sweet. so did the 5 inch hole saw cut the perfect hole for the 6.5 inch speakers? Sorry to be a pain, just don't want to screw it up.

Yes it did, but make sure the mounting hole size for whatever speaker you buy. All brands are not the same.

I put 5" speakers in the bow of my 182 shabah and used a dremel. I would recommend a holesaw lol. The fiberglass ate two dremel bits and smoked like hell. They sound great though. I put them facing each other under the left and right seats. Also went with the jensen powered 200 watt subwoofer and am already looking to upgrade. 200 watts was not enough

I'm considering installing a bow speaker myself too.

The guy that I got my Talari from installed a regular cd player and it didn't work when I got it. I'm guessing it got wet because it's not marine. I am finding out he didnt take the best care of it.
