new owner of a 1998 shaba bowrider 135hp, need some TLC ,any help would be appreciated,boat yard in the UK are not very helpful.........

looking for a new 4 terminal ignition switch as existing isn't working the story so far....

The faulty switch had 4 terminals

B. battery

I. ignition

S. silent

A. Accessories

The switch that the boat yard ordered in and supplied as a direct replacement has 3 terminals B.

They said the Accessories could be wired to the battery terminal and they would be on without the ignition switch being turned on ,no problem provided the accessories do not pose a safety issue if not isolated when the ignition is off.

At present the boat is wired with the Accessories disconnected and it starts and all the dashboard switches operate normal.

The 2 accessory wires are each coloured red and white and I would like to know what they supply.

If we cannot find out I will wire them to the B terminal and check the whole boat .

The switch that takes the lied had 5 terminals A, B, S but no I but 2 Ms,their solution was to wire our ignition wire to

To either of the M,s,if it didn't,t work first time then try the other terminal,neither would work

If she's like our '94 182 Barchetta: The radio/CD-player and that's it--unless the PO added something else.

I had to replace my ignition switch last year as it got stuck in the start position. I found one at a nearby marina (Henchens marina) here is there web site Henchen Marina and Fishing Camp
