I have two minor problems I am trying to take care of on my 2000 182 Shabbah. One of my engine compartment hydraulic posts is missing. The compartment opens fine but there is so much pressure on the remaining post that I am afraid ittoo will break. My second issue is that the glove compartment latch has pretty much snapped off. It is a simple plastic latch inside a 1 inch hole. The ingintion key fits, which is a feature I can live without. Anyone else have these issues and maybe have ideas on finding replacements or decent fixes?

If you still have the latch, you can get the Mfg 's name off of it. Do a google search for them. I was able to get a replacement for the latch on my Talari 190 that way. Part # 93-304 from Bisco Industries. Kinda pricey @ $29.09 including freight but oh well, I needed the latch as the original was locked with no key to open it.

Thanks for the information. After I posted this I saw that there is an extensive parts list in another section of the site. That one lists "Southco" as the latch manufacturer. I do have the original broken latch and will look closely for a manufacturer and part number when my boat comes back from getting winterized. It is difficult to tell from the Southco website if the latches they offer are the right size. I hate to order something that might not fit.

Mine was also a Southco latch.
They make both lockable and nonlock style. I chose the nonlock replacemant as the locked one could be forced open by pulling on the bottom of the latch and flexing the door.
The reference to Bisco Industries was because that was where I purchased the Southco latch.
