Post transom Tilt and Trim switch

I was waxing my boat with a buffer last weekend and I hit the transom tilt and trim switch with the buffer and ofcourse it broke the plastic mount around the switch . The switch still works its just that the mount is now broken, I guess my question is were would I find a replacement switch???? I looked under the original parts lists that we have on the site an did not see it listed anywhere does anyone know where to find this part or even if it is available ? Thanks in advance Darrell

Here's a good link to another forum that has part numbers, directions, and pictures of the intallation of an entire unit. Should be a good place to start. They definetly still make it...

It should be a Mercruiser part. 87-815200A1 is for trim pumps with a round connector at the pump and 87-815200A02 for pumps with an oval connector. Both of those come with the wiring harness and run about $40. 55738A1 is a possible part number for just the switch, but I can't find a good picture to verify it.

I think that's the same thread I got the part numbers from awhile back when I was looking into adding one to my boat (still on my to-do list, possibly this winter).

Thanks for the reply, the picture of the finished switch from the link that you provided is exactly what mine looks like I broke that outer plastic on the corners. That is perfect thanks again Darrell
