Do you have the cruiser waste system manual? I don’t have anything in my manual for my Z28 and cannot find the tank vent filter so I can replace it. There are two vent hoses coming from the grey tank and one disappears along the gunwales toward the bathroom but cannot access it. The other hose is also a mystery where it goes before it connects to the vent on the side of my boat.

Again, the original poster hasn't been here since 2011 so you are likely out of luck.

On my Z280, one of the large diameter hoses is the inlet/comes from the toilet, the other large diameter hose is the outlet which has a standpipe inside the tank to draw near the bottom. It goes to the deck plate on the starboard aft side of the boat so you can pump out the tank. The small diameter hose is the vent which also goes directly to a vent mounted on the starboard aft side of the boat.

My Z280 had no filter, I added an inline filter so the poor soul who was sitting on the aft bench seat did not have to smell the contents of the tank every time someone flushed.

I took a picture and cannot tell which of the small hoses is the vent hose. I see the pump in hose from the toilet and the pump out hose, both large diameter. Here is a picture, the skinny black one seems to go to the side of the gunwale so I assume it’s the the vent hose but not sure why I have 2.

I cannot see the picture but are the small diameter hoses on either side of the tank, port and starboard? If so, the are most likely both vents.

Is there an email or phone number I can send the picture to you with? I am now thinking both may be vent hoses and I might have to block one and hook up a filter to the remaining vent or install two filters, one for each.
