Back on the wet stuff!
Finally back on the wet stuff here in Dubai, part rebuild seems to have done the trick (no more overheating) and sea trials all successful this morning, so can start enjoying the season at last!
One question for the forum though, for the first ten minutes or so of running on low revs she was hunting a bit, revs kept dropping off and then coming back up while we were doing about 5-10 knotts out the harbour. When we returned after running she was fine and sat evenly at around 600rpm.
Thing is it's not exactly cold out here, about 20 degrees during the sea trial, so I wouldn't have expected it to need to warm-up to much, and the temp guage was already up to normal before from running at the dock.
Anyone got any ideas or similar experience? The engineer that was with me did mention that they had had some problems with a hose that feeds air to the carb, but I haven't had a chance to really have a good poke around to check things out myself. Will probably try and get back down to the marina in the next couple of days.
Would welcome any suggestions,
Many thanks,
