Default Just gained 20hp

Here's an interesting story.
When I bought my boat it was titled as 385hp so I always assumed that was correct. Well recently I went out to Volvo's site and entered my serial number in to get some maintenance items and it pulled up the engine specs and said 405hp. I figured that was wrong so I did some more searching and found other specs showing that same horsepower for the model year engine I have (2000MY engine in a 2001MY boat). I ended up calling a tech at Volvo and he confirmed that my particular engine was indeed 405hp at 4600RPM with a max RPM of 5200. I guess it was a common mistake because the Mercruiser 454Magnum that year was 385hp and it was assumed that Volvo's version was the same HP.
So now I've changed my tagline

A 20hp gain without any cash leaving your wallet is always a good thing!

That’s great, what is your max RPM now. With the new found RPM you may be able to re-prop and gain some proformance!

But it's still 385 hp to anyone who wants to race, right?

Yeah I could gain some top end by repropping but the previous owner just replaced the duoprop at a cost of $1600 and it doesn't have a mark on it. I think I'll stick with that one for now!
