Default New guy here from CA

hello everyone,
I would like to introduce my self and get a few tips and some info if you could help me out. I'm Mike, I live in the horrible town of Fresno California. I have a 1995 Talari. I bought it off some guy over near San Fransisco. I paid 8 grand for it and it had a little over 60 hours. It needed a good cleaning and came out pretty good. I need some help with a few things.
-Has anyone put a tower on this model? I would like to see some pictures if possible.
-The stereo in this thing sucks, can someone point me in a direction for getting a good radio. I want something that sounds good, but doesn't rob the bank.
-I would like to add a swim plat form to the back, any good ones?

All help is apperciated

    Welcome to the club!

There are some good threads on two of your topics:

    Wakeboard Tower thread

    Project - Swim platform addition.

If you don't want to break the bank on a stereo upgrade, ebay often has marine audio kits that will be a big improvement over the original equipment.

    Mike-

Welcome to the board; we have the same boat potentially. I chose the new Sony Xplode http://www.xplodsony.com/marine with a remote controller. Like most stereo gear you can spend as much as you want. I have eight Boston Acoustics speakers, a Clarion subwoofer and two Phoenix Gold amps.

I recommend Samson Sports for a tower, I am working with them now to get a custom build for my boat. Let us know what other questions you have,

    Brent

    Default Fresno?

Fresno is not so bad. I am a Clovis person. Millerton and Pine flat are wonderful ski lakes when it is 100 degrees plus in the valley.

I was also wondering if anyone knew about a twin prop set up with a alpha one?

As far as I know, Mercruiser never built a twin prop Alpha, it's not strong enough to handle the additional stress loads. If you put an Alpha one and any Bravo lower unit side by side, I think you see the size difference really quick!

The most common twins out there are the Mercruiser Bravo III and Volvo's DuoProp.

Though it's been a long long time (20yrs) since I've been out there, I was wondering why you say Fresno is a horrible town?
