Thinking about getting a 01 212 shabah

Hello
First post on this site. Im looking into getting a new to me boat. I have it down to a 01 212 Shabah with 5.7 or a 01 crownline 202 with 5.0 tks. Should i be concerened about boat (not motor or drive) parts replacement? Until a free days ago i didn't even know they existed. I was told today that both companies came from Celebrity boats. I have a few questions:
1. What do you think the better boat is. Is in small (300 acre) lakes to larger ones (20,000 acre).
2.concern about parts availability
3. What is the difference between 212 and Z212?
Thanks

Look at some of the promotional info here on the site for the model year you are looking at for starters. Mariah's are very well crafted machines that had features ahead of its time. 2001 was pretty much the last year of the original Mariah before it was sold to Seafox. Most parts are avaliable from the original vendors line Volvo, Mercury, Attwood etc. You will not find off the shelf snap covers (custom order), the dash was custom made by Mariah that year I am pretty sure as well, windshields can be very costly (same goes for any older boat). Z is a model. Typically they have several optional features like different trim, captains call exhaust, etc listed in brochure. Check which engine you really have for the 5.7 verse the 5.0. My 5.7L is the 350 MAG MPI with 300 HP, but there are several different ones out there They are pretty much the same in size thus similar experience on lakes of all sizes, but I would tend to go with the bigger engine. Good luck!

What is a good price for a Mariah boat?
2001 212 Shabah with 5.7 Mercruiser. Not sure on the hours yet. Comes with the trailer.

I used NADA boats last year. Make sure to get the correct options for the boat. Captain call is worth about $700 by itself and you need to pick the correct engine if it has fuel injection.

I would be happy to talk to you, but be warned I only have a year of boat ownership under my belt. There are several other members that are MUCH more knowledgeable. I just did alot of research when I joined the Mariah Owners Group and I am only a shade tree mechanic on my best day... I will PM you my information

We took the mariah out today. I thunk I'm going to get it. It needs a new cover for the dash. Are those available anywhere?

Are you talking about the bow or canopy cover? Or the dash itself? No to both. Bow and canopy need to be custom made and cost is dependent on material used. The dash itself were custom made by mariah for certain years.
