Default Rub Rail Insert

I am looking to replace the rub rail insert on my 1997 Talari 209 and it looks like it is a Taco Marine V12-0338 in white. All I can find available is black and it may be a different but similar profile from another manufacturer. Anyone have info, sources, substitutes, for the insert in white? I really hate to go back with a black insert.

Thanks

I googled for quite a while trying to find the same thing, but I didn't have any success finding an alternative. Hopefully somebody is more resourceful than I.

I had the same experience as SmokinV8, looked for a long time for both the white aluminum base and the white insert. Never did find an exact replacement. I wound up replacing the entire rub rail with a white vinyl base and chrome insert.

How is the chrome insert holding up?

Mine isn't trashed, just miscolored a bit, and acetone didn't bring it back as much as I wanted. I've debated trying to paint it AND the rub rail with some of the gloss metal / plastic spray paints on the market, but I've got mild concerns of painting the two together, causing peeling in short order. Lots of small damage on my run rail that I don't want to replace just yet.

I may have a substitute, don't know yet, but if it works out I will let everyone know.
