Not a problem.
The carbs have a thumbscrew with a straight slot screwdriver slot in it. This is the idle mixture screw(s). Important to know that they have zero use on any throttle setting after complete idle. Another one is to never turn them more than 1 3/4 turns from full seat (screwed all the way in,LIGHTLY). Try to keep your idle speed at 650rpm. If you have the idle run up too high, the throttle plates will be controlling idle quality and not the mixture screws.
Start at 1 1/2 turns and check rpm. It's a game but you'll pick up on it real quick.

I believe my drama is over ! We went out for three days/two nights. Only issues:
1. My choke will hung up twice. I have a rebuild kit coming. I've decided I am going MPI.
2: I obviously have a tiny too much advance on timing. I timed it to 10 degrees with the timing wire grounded. I'm wondering if I didn't have a good ground and didn't set it in base mode.

Other than that, I've come to accept that the boat will never do 55. 30 is its comfortable cruise speed. I can get close to 40 but that's an empty boat. It is first and foremost, an RV. That's what we bought it for and not as a ski boat.
Next project is a light overhaul on the genset.
