You should change the oil again and run it. There might of been some residual water. In there

    They were going to do that today and then take it out for a lake test as well. I'll keep ya'll posted.

    Well, the mechanic was a bit confused as to which motor was in the boat, so once they got it, they got into the exhaust and the flappers were indeed toast. They will be replacing those but help me out here, would the flappers keep water from the motor when on the muffs not in the water? We're hoping that is the case but I'm not sure. I still doubt that the big of a block would be cracked but you never know??

    The shutters are designed to keep water from entering the exhaust when you are in reverse or if you slow down quickly. I can't envision how they can help when on the muffs.
