Default hello new owner of 03 mariah sx19

Hello everyone. Just wanted to update on my situation. Remember I bought my first Maria a few months ago and the engine was bad cracked block on both sides. Well anyway the engine finally got doneyesterday and took almost a month not happy. Has a new 5.7 init now whrich u couldn't get in a 03 sx 19. Max u could get was a 5.0. I changed the tilt trim and power steering fluid. Man I tell u it sounds mean and powerful. Wish I could hammer on it a little but I have to break it in for 20 hours. Not happy about the price the marina estimated me 3000 and it ended up being 3800. They found more stuff wrong when they did it. Has a hour meter now too. Will try to update pics soon. And quick question is there a easy way to remove old silicone. Thx

Sounds like a mean setup! That's a big motor for a 19' boat. I bet you have fun with it!

I'm curious how it cruises and gets out of the hole with the newer motor. Its possible you may need a different prop with the increased power/weight. I know it sounds like more money but boating is not very money friendly.

I haven't taken it out yet. It hasent been nice out and I'm not done putting it back together. I have a 19p 4 blade ss on it now. I might have to go to a 21p prop. Just bought the prop a month ago. The marina said they would take it back and exchange it for a 21p as long as I don't ding up the the 19p. I think this thing will fly should go about 60mph.

That's great the marina will work with you! That's the benefit of buying from them opposed to off line. I imagine it will move pretty good. What 350 did you toss in? 2 barrel 4 barrel, throttle body, fuel injected?
