Now i need to figure out why my trim switch does nothing

I would always check your grounds first. Make sure they are all shiny and well contacted. Then check your switch. Are you getting voltage out of the switch when activated? If not, take the switch apart and clean the contacts if it can be taken apart. Not sure of your setup, but here is what I went thru.

Check grounds
Clean switch contacts
Check trim solenoids. They should be next to your trim reservoir. Make sure all contacts and wire terminals are cleaned and shiny.
If you are getting voltage out of the switch, then try "jumping" your solenoids. I have 3 of them. Not sure how many you will have. If voltage gets to the solenoid and nothing happens when you jump it, then the solenoid is bad.
If solenoid is working, then check for a reset switch on the trim motor.

That's all I can think of right now....

Poor memory is telling me power for the trim pump comes off the starter solenoid? Battery side so hot all the time?

Did you look at the "How To..." for the trim system? Its pretty easy to follow.

If anyone reads this:

The problem was my starter. New starter fixed issue.

I believe my old starter was seized up. It was drawing a lot of power but had no go. Either that or the solenoid wasn't delivering full power... W/e fixed.

My trim was a bad ground. Just cleaned some terminals and boom!

Glad you got her fixed!
