Default Exact engine type help

Hi all:

Trying to determine exact engine model on 1995 Z240 Talari I have recently acquired. Pulled motor last weekend to change starter-5 mainfold bolts were corroded badly enough where they had to be air-chisled off.
Based on what I've found so far I think it is a 454 Mag Gen V, but I'd like to be certain. Seems Merc used same serial number sequences for different sized engines and when I input serial number into Merc OEM parts site, it comes up with a 4 cyl. which it definitely not.
Heres some detail: Hull ID MAB****, engine serial tag F427936. Engine details: Starer 11 tooth, equal bolts, offset pattern. Fuel pump attached to raw water pump. Exhaust manifolds interchangeable side to side, risers mount off-center, so port side has extension off elbow to "Y" outlet manifold. Ignition module mounted on distributor. 4 BBL carb (not certain make-base stampings are 9780S 2654 and C8294 17 1).

Also would be grateful for guidance on where to purchase quality, reasonably priced OEM starters, aftermarket manifolds, and other engine accy's. I live in SE CT.
Thanks very much.

So, I fed this serial number to Merc. They told me it's a 4 cyl 3.4L, so perhaps the other 4 jugs are for beer can storage. Rocky said to feed him the serial number off the leg and maybe he could confirm that way. Kinda strange
Think I've got it narrowed down to a 7.4L.
For parts, I went to my old friend Joe at BridgeMarine in City Island. Used him for years, but have not had a boat for 9 years and forgot about him till recently.
    Thanks for the help!
