Default Blue smoke from exhaust

My 98 shabah 202 blows blue smoke from the exhaust when I am at low speeds. Any ideas on what this is?

Hi jsamaroo, blue smoke normally indicates burning oil, black smoke indicates too much fuel and for land vehicles, white smoke indicates water in the exhaust system (doesn't work for our boats, because there is supposed to be water in our exhaust all the times).

You can check your spark plugs to see which cylinder is using oil.

The most likely candidates are worn piston rings or worn valve guides.

How many hours on your engine?

The engine only has like 235 hours on it.

I hesitated to comment, esp. as my comments would've constituted bad news, but I fear Z 202 is probably right .

That seems like very low hours for an engine to be burning oil already.

As Wet Willy suggested, pull your spark plugs one at a time, to see if any are fouled up with oil. Does the level of oil seem to be dropping the more the engine is running? What oil are you using?
