Hi 2000Z272,
The difficulty really depends of where you want the exhaust to come out and what it takes to route it there. The easiest of course would be straight back, but in some cases, there will be some kind of bend involved. With the right diverters and hoses, it should be fairly straight forward. As for the elbows, they should come out easily, but you might need a little "elbow" grease if their stubborn! 
Is it a do-it-yourself job? Yes, if you're mechanically inclined and comfortable with making the measurements and cutting into the transom.
Check out these threads from our other members on the Corsa exhaust systems, they were used by Mariah so they may have tips for your Z272.
