I need to replace the bildge pump on a '95 Davanti. It it has three wires, one thats the ground, one for the auto switch, and one for the switch on the console. I can't locate a replacement pump. The old pump does not indicate what model it is. Any ideas where I can get an exact replacement pump?

Would you be able to post a few pictures of your bilge pump? As there are quite a few pump manufactures out there, a picture would definitely help in identifying your make and model. Then it's a matter of seeing if a direct replacement if available. As your pump is 14yrs old, you may need to up grade it, but the wiring would probably be the same.

Another possible option to identify it would be trying to contact another member with a 95 Davanti. Lance is listed as having such a model, try sending him a PM (click here) and see if me can assist you.

Mariah used a brand called Mayfair for all their bilge pumps.

My 94 Davanti bilge pump was not working when I first got the boat either. I was checking all the wiring, switches, and fuses, and could find nothing wrong.

Finally out of desperation, I removed the pump and found there was fishing line wrapped all around the impeller. Spent about 10 minutes removing it, and all was well again.
