Hi

My 2004 Mariah SX8 - 18 foot bowrider is taking on a lot of water in the bilge and the engine makes a high pitched squealing noise. The problems are probably unrelated.

Any ideas on what to check and what may be causing these 2 issues?

Bellows are likely cracked. Its a fairly common issue. Examine your bellows very closely (particularly in the folds) for splits/cracks. If you find one it will need replacing. And its quite possible those two issues are related. Water thru the bellows gets into the bearings causing rust and then squealing.
