    Hello designbygeorge,

Would it be possible to get a little more information on your situation?

    Let's see:

    1) The Trim Gauge - Do you currently have a trim gauge and it's not working or is it that you don't have one and want to put one in? Either way, what gauges do you have (Faria, VDO, Teleflex, etc...) and by chance, do you know the model so finding a similar model trim gauge would be easier.

    2) The Headlight - I assume you are referring to the "Docking" lights mounted on the front hull below the rub rail to assist docking at night? If this is correct, again, do you have them or want to put them in? if you have them and you have an anchor locker up front, open it up and stick your head in there and see if you can read any information off of the light housing tube to help identify the manufacture and model... again, making it easier to locate a replacement light.

Let us know and we can proceed forward from there,
    WetWilly

    Default More Info

My mechanic tells me my trim gage doesn’t work. I will have to check with him about what kind of out drive I have, I will let you know when I find out. I do have a gage but there are no words on it other than Mariah.
The dock light is mounted in top of the anchor lid. It has a little motor to raise it when in use.
I am also looking for struts to hold up the windshield. They are only about six to eight inches long.
I can take pictures if we need more details, I will find out the type of out drive today and post it….bygeorge

If the trim gauge is not working, it's more than likely the sender on the drive that is the problem. What kind of outdrive do you have?

Mercruiser parts are readily available. However the sender is sold as a kit (trim position sender and trim gauge sender) Here in Canada it costs about a hundred and change for the kit. Installation is the biggie. The service procedure is pretty involved (removal of drive/bellows etc..).

Mine quit last year. I have yet to replace it. I usually don't trim by the gauge anyway, so I'm not really missing it. I think I'lll wait till my outdrive need some other work that requires drive removal before I get around to fixing it.
