OK WetWilly, I'm not 100% sure on this, but I believe it could be made by Lowrance. I've seen quite a few things on their site about paddlewheel sensors that read temp and speed. If you go to http://www.lowrance.com
and click Products -> Accessories, and use the dropdown box for "Speed & Temperature Sensors" it'll give you some model numbers. Check yours and see if any of them match. I believe Mariah could have used their sensors, and just spliced the ends into the trip odometer and temp readout.
Once I get mine back from winterization, I'll take a close look at mine and see what I can figure out!

Transom mounted paddlewheel assembly
The one I took off of my boat is made by Airmar and the part number on it is 31-602-6-01. Unfortunately that number doesn't cross to anything on Airmar's site: 
, I'll try and contact Airmar and see what I can do.
