Default Shield Decal

We contacted Sea Fox and were directed to a dealor to purchase a new decal. They charged us $20. The new decal looks exactly the same. It is a bit more silver but has a gold tint to it so it matches just fine. We ordered an extra one just in case we lose one in the future. If you need one we used and it took about a week.

    Hi Curt,

Is it possible for you to post a picture of one of your new Shield Stickers? I purchased a set of the new Mariah Shields and they did not have any gold tint at all so I am curious about yours as the gold tint would definitely look closer to the originals.

Here are a couple of pictures of the new Shield I purchased next to the original from the back of the seat. As you can see, the new one on the left is chrome and doesn't have any tint in the clear coating:

    Thanks,
    WetWilly

Wetwilly, the silver matches great with that steering wheel!
Those are identical except for the gold underlay. I bet it is made by the original Co. that old Mariah used. I wonder, if asked, if they would do special order with gold instead of silver. I am sure we could order enough to make it worth their effort! And if not, at least we have the silver option

Thanks z275st, I agree, the chrome goes great with all the silver around the dash and wheel.

As our two hull shields are pretty gouged up now, due to leaving the Talari in the hands of some landlubber friends while in a guest birth at a marina, I'm getting ready to replace them with the new ones but I would like to see the ones Curt Schneidewind purchased, he said they have a gold tint.

I just looked at the extra one we just purchased and it is definitely silver, like yours. I think ours just looks goldish on the boat because it is next to the gold Mariah letters, or a reflection from the water, or just the lighting. Regardless, on the boat, they look almost exactly the same - sure looks better than the adhesive remains!

    Hi Curt,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly on your Shield decals!

I agree, they do look great compared to a blank spot or the sticky residue!!!

That definitely seems like a .psd template was transferred in the sale... I think the silver was changed as the gold look kinda faded and silver has become more popular. I would have to agree that the same company is probably printing those graphics. I haven't been able to find out who actually makes the graphics. That is the key, once we find out who is printing them for Mariah we can get the "gold" style printed pretty easily...
