Default 2001 Z222, 350 Mag

OK guys, I need your input here! Looking at a 2000 Z222, 350 Mag MPI. What is the market value for this boat? I don't know the history or condition yet, but it's at one of the biggest (historical) Mariah dealers in my area so I assume its been 'refreshed'.

I'd appreciate your thoughts and opinions.

Thanks.

    Hi VernB63,

Click on this link and plug in the options included on this Z222 and this NADA guide will give you an idea on its worth.

Remember, as with the Kelly Blue Book for cars, this is only a reference, condition of the interior, exterior, power system, etc play a major role here!

Either way, don't assume, have the boat gone through by a competent boat mechanic/surveyor so you don't buy any unknown issues.

    Good Luck,
    WetWilly

Is it the green one at Pride Marina?

Nice boat. Beautifully kept by the photos, but w/o a trailer it appears. I'd say it's currently way overpriced. It's been listed for sale for at least a year...

btw I'm up in Lions Head for most of Aug. If you plan on being up that way shoot me a pm.

It is hard to get an idea without the details but I can tell you I have been looking at a lot of boats lateley and most of the 222 1999-2001 have been listed for low to mid twenties.

    Default The Offer 2000 Z222, 350 MAG MPI, Bravo3.

Asking price $24,900 (no trailer) with a trade-in of $7000 on my '97 198 SE Shabah. The offer is is high based on NADA, even the trade-in seems low.

... if you have some insight or an opinion I'd appreciate your thoughs.

    Regards,

    Vern,

Is your shabah a 19.8 or a 21.0 ? I was just flippin throught your gallery and noticed the difference from your gallery to your profile information (beside your avatar).

As much as I really don't feel like trading in my Diablo right now, I still keep an eye out for Shabahs. Which, you being in Barrie is somewhat local to me.. lol.

    4.3 or 5.7L ..?

    Default 97 198SE Shabah

Hi Ryan, the Z210 was a 95/96 Mariah I looked at early in the spring at BoatMax off the 400. I was suffering from 2' itis at that time, looking for a better ride for Lake Simcoe. The Shabah is great in Kempenfelt or up at the cottage in Haliburton but the extra length and width would be great for rougher water... running North to Orillia or over to Crates Marine. Anything bigger than a 22'er would make trailering a little more difficult. Currently using a 4.0L Jeep Grand Cherokee to tow the boat or my son's Motocross trailer. If your interested in moving up in size drop me a PM with your email, I'll send you pic's of my boat... nice stereo as well. First I must decide if the $$$ make sense.

    Regards,

    '97 198SE Shabah, 4.3 Merc LX, Alpha 1.

Yeah agreed. There is no way I would attempt to cross Simcoe on my Diablo. Couchchiching scares me enough as it is. I'm up on Sparrow and that is a fairly calm lake to go boating on.

I hope to at least make it to Orillia and the narrows before this season is done with. I have made the trek to the marine railway last year, that was easy tho. No big lakes to get across, just a long and sometimes slow trek.

I also wanted to check out Chief Island and moor there w/ the other boaters.. heh.
