Default New Owner Possibly

I am looking to buy a 1995 Shabah 212 with a 350 5.7L for 8500.00 with less that 300 hours. Good or Fair Price? The boat has no scratches interior is in perfect shape. only prob is the trailer brakes do not work. I figured that was minor to have the brakes on the trailer fixed. Any input would be great.

Do you have any pics? Sounds like a fair deal , but it needs gone over good before I would commit. Especially , the Power Package and Electricals.
I agree , the brakes aren't that big of a deal , but you can sure use the fact that they need attention in your negociations.
Take her out for a 30-45 minute test run no matter what.
    BTW: Welcome to MOC!

This is good. I mean engine/drive system.
Make double sure the trim gauge works properly. When the senders at the drive go out they are kinda a pain to fix.
Sounds like she was well maintained.
    Take her for a ride

I just spoke to the Beech Lake Marine service manager, (where the boat was serviced) the service manager emailed me records of service from the last 5 years. Everything that was done to the boat in the last 5 years was minor repairs and regular service and winterization each year. He said he knows that boat very well. The service manager said the boat "runs very well" he told me they run the remaining gas out before winterization and this past October he said the boat ran like it had just come off the assembly line. We was not aware the guy was selling the boat, but asked me to let him know first if I don't buy the boat. Hmmm? not sure what that is about.

The bow cover and cockpit cover on Mariah's, can they be used as a travel cover? or will I have to buy a separate cover for when towing the boat long distances?

Most people will recommend you trailer with her top off, in general.

I will go with Oregon on this one. We use our bow and cockpit covers to travel all the time with no problems whatsoever. They keep all bugs and road junk off our boat. Just to be clear, we use the covers that snap all around our cockpit and bow. I am not referring to the covers (or should I say "canvases") that you have to to use bungee cords to tie down.

After re-reading the topic I will say that I prefer the "top off" as the method of travel as well....wait....are we talking about the boats?
