At age 60, I bought my first boat, a 1990 Mariah 1850XL. Didn't know if it was a midlife crisis or what, but just wanted a boat and wasn't going to buy new until I knew that I would really like boating. The interior is in excellant shape, but the outside needs some repainting and restriping. Love boating, even though I haven't had a chance to get out as much as I would like, but that will come in time. I don't have any of the original manuals for the boat, if anyone can help me with that, I'd appreciate it.

Welcome Gregg, I didn't buy my first boat until this year. I also bought a used Mariah and love it. I really do see getting a bigger boat down the road but love my 20 footer.

The manuals are pretty generic and the question seems to come up all the time. Take a look at this post for some good info.

Welcome aboard Gregg. Just realize that it's never too late to start spending money on a boat.
