new barchetta 192 owner

I recently purchased my first boat, a 95 Barchetta 192. I am currently on lake powell (7 days on a house boat). The wind is getting nasty and I some how have internet access (verizon card). With the wind keeping me inside I figured it would be a good idea to run a couple of problems by the community.

Vinyl - The boat has white and blue vinyl. The blue vinyl seems to be the most UV damaged and the high traffic areas (sun deck) have some good cracks. I have the original blue vinyl bimini and an after market bimini. Anyone know if they used the same vinyl for the bimini that they did for the seats? If so I want to have a upholstery shop replace the seat vinyl using the bimini top vinyl to keep the same color.

Gas gauge - the gas gauge seems to jump all over. My guess is that the gauge is rusted. Any good sources for the gauge?

Trim gauge - The trim gauge is not always accurate. Sometimes the gauge shows 3/4 down when it is full down. Sometimes it will not raise higher than 1/2 from the throttle control but appears to be 3/4 high when visually inspected. Sometimes the gauge is accurate.

Ahoy co-barchetta-192 and welcome to the club!

Let's see, I think I can assist with your second and third question but I will leave the first one to our members with better knowledge on the vinyl..

If your needle is acting like a '70 Monte Carlo's Gas gauge, it might just be overly sensitive and if you click here, this thread by member rjobe will tell you how to calm that jumpy needle

It definitely sounds like dirt and/or corrosion in the trim sensor on your outdrive, You can open the sensors up and try cleaning the contacts and if you click here it will show you how to replace them if they're bad or to adjust them.
