New to Boating

Hello, my name is Tauni and the hubbys name is Jim and we live in western Ohio. We just bought a 1992 Mariah 22'. We took it out for the first time yesterday and love it! We use to have a houseboat and the Mariah kind of scared me at first.

It of course is so different from a houseboat. We are trying to find a nice place to take the boat where the water isn't so busy and churning.

I am fairly new to boating but the hubby has been around boats all his life. I am curious if anyone can tell me where I can get a manual for the boat or have any ideas of nice places to go in the Ohio area. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Contributing members to the forum have access to all the brochures, manuals and service and repair manuals. If you want access click on the "Donate" button below the banner at the top of the page.

The owners manuals are very generic in nature, the content is almost exclusively about safe boating practices etc. with very little model specific info.

If you have specific questions search this site, or post them up. We have built up a substanial knowledge base and have a great group of members on here, who are always ready to help.

Can't help you out on good boating spots in Ohio, but we have a lot of members in the area. I'm sure they'll chime in.
