Hey from central Kanas!
I've been lurking around for a while and just decided to finally introduce myself. Welcomes are always so warm around here! I was really glad to find a community supporting the boat that I wanted.

This '93 MX-19 is my first boat. I did lots of looking and researching before buying and like many other members, after seeing the quality of this older Mariah, found nothing else could hold a candle in the wind. We're so excited we've already taken it out once... yep... mid February in Kansas.

I'm currently upgrading the stereo. The next upgrades on my list are tinted windows and LED lights.


The boat was listed on CL, we went and looked at it but thought it was a little overpriced so we continued our search. We took a road trip one weekend to visit some friends, talked about the MX-19 all the way there and decided we should go for it if the owner would accept $500 under his asking price. We got to our friends' house and I went to pull up the CL ad to show off our decision... and it was gone!!! Our hearts sank. I searched for two more weeks before it miraculously showed back up on CL. The previous owners had decided to just keep it but then changed their minds again and relisted it (they're about to have their first baby). Anyway, I called him less than an hour after he posted the ad and the boat was ours the next day. We paid full price but we have no apprehensions.

Welcome to the board Dredd! Your MX19 looks to be in great shape. And congrats on being able to find one, even if you paid full asking price, it WILL be worth it once boating season arrives! Feel free to ask any questions you might have, we're all here to help!

Click on the file, it should open but if it doesn't, then it probably downloaded to your PC, in which case, you may need to search your system to locate the file. Welcome aboard Dredd. WE boat lake perry all summer what lake do you use?

We'll spend most our time on the resevoirs around Wichita, El Dorado and Cheney. But we plan to make Table Rock about 3 times and hopefully Kaw once, depending on what petrol prices do this season.

I like your boat model. I bet that's a really fun boat.
There's a car in the parking lot of my office with a MidwestBoatParty.com sticker on the back of it but most those members are from closer to KC, right?

No most of the MWBP members are from all over, from Minn. To Tex. We have a couple of get to gets up here at lake Perry every summer. You should join MWBP and get your boat up and join the fun. There are several members that are from Wichita area that make the trip. The truck you saw was prob. one of thiers. Thanks for the coments on my boat we have a blast all summer long. We just put a grill on last spring, know we can't get rid of the rest of them. it seems i'm cooking all afernoon. C ome up anytime will hook up.
