    Hello MMarko,

    Welcome to the club!

As far as I know, there is not any known problems with this model. Mariahs are one of the best built boats out there but any boat can have issues if the previous owners did not take care of them.

It would help if you could tell us what size motor and model of outdrive it has.

Do you have any have any information on this Mariah's history, maintenance records, what type of water it was used in (fresh or salt water?), previous repairs and thing like that?

If you are not familiar with checking boats and their equipment out, I strongly suggest to seek professional assistance in your area.

    Good luck,
    WetWilly

Welcome aboard Michel! We have at least one other member (Il Mio) who is also from Belgium (near Brugge) and i've been there a few times with my wife, who is employed by a Belgian company. As WetWilly says, Mariah's were 'over-built' in some regards and rarely suffer from poor construction but if the previous owners haven't taken care of it, there can be problems such as electrical glitches. Fortunately there are only a few items (trim, glass & interior seating) that are difficult to find but with the large number of members here, we are always learning how to overcome those problems. Feel free to post whatever concerns you have and we'll do our best to help you out.

    Regards,
By the 'Rev of engine' i'm assuming you mean the tachometer. Generally that problem is a corrosion issue. You should have access to the back of your instrument panel. On the back of the tachometer you will find a small black dial which should be set at '8 cyl'. Take that dial and spin in around a few times back & forth then reset it at the '8 cyl' and see if that doesnt cure the problem. Also check to make sure the wire connections on the tach are not corroded from the salt water use.
