Hi All,
I am new to this forum. I spent some time browsing around the information on this site. I am thinking of purchasing a 1996 Z201 Talari. I realize that Mariah Boat went bankrupt and the new Mariah line doesn't support the older line. I was curious as to what people thought of their Mariah, as far as quality and such. The boat I am interested in has a cracked block which will need to be replaced . After some research here I feel the price of 3500 USD for boat and trailer is doable. I look forward to read more here at MOC.

Here at the Mariah Owners Club, our members believe we own one of the best built boats in the industry. For the money, there isn't a better built or equipped boat out there and we are dedicated to helping all Mariah owners of both the original and new Sea Fox models, get the most out of their boats.

Yes, it's true the original Mariah Company closed but because of a great product and devoted owners like our members, we have been able to locate the sources for many of the parts for our Mariahs. Some of our members have even found ways to repair, subsitute or fabricate some of the in-house items no longer available. Within the last year, club members have reduced the hard to aquire items to just a hand full of assemblies.

Take some more time and look through the different forums and see how members have helped and supported each other and the issues they've overcome. I truly believe you'll have a hard time finding another group of boat owners as passonate about their brand as you'll find here!

So if the 96 Z201 Talari you're looking at is in good shape (even the best boats can be reduced to junk if they aren't taken care of) and is just a motor issue, you can't go wrong becoming a Mariah owner.

When and checked her out today. She has a few worn spots on the seats but that can be fix as can the motor. I am going to check and see if the Cummin's tubo might be a choice for replacement. we keep in touch. also captains chair's back rest seems to be on a spring it moves for and aft is this normal Z201. '96 Tali.

A Cummins turbo ??? wow.

Anyway, yes the drivers side can either be on a manual slider unit or electrically operated on the Z versions. I believe they used Springfield posts / pedestals & spider units. I 've also seen new Mariah replacement electric slider units on Ebay from Kennedy marine which should fit yours if you desire.

Hi guys, just an FYI... the electric slider assembly for the "Z" driver's side was made by "Todd Marine". The pedestals and manual passenger slider was made by Springfield.
