Default new to forum, looking at 1998 216 Talari

Hello to all,

current Four Winns 258 Vista owner, 1997, looking for a smaller and sportier cuddy, considering a 1998 216 Talari.

Any feedback, pros and cons, issues of concern?

Boat is well maintained, with 5.7 Merc, basic Merc o/d.

sale obviously pending mech inspection etc.

Any problem with spare parts for mariah given the change of ownership?

Thanks to all for any feedback

Most of the stuff you can still get, save for some of the trim pieces. They're great boats and getting rarer all the time!!

    Hi SA,
I currently have a '98 246 Talari. It's my 2nd boat, but the first sport cuddy I have ever bought. I didn't know anything about them when I bought it, but with the help of reading threads in here and getting used to her, it was the best purchase I ever made. They have such a wonderful reputation, and they're all head turners on the water, I know that for a fact. Mine has a 5.7L merc so parts wouldn't be a problem. The tougher stuff to find might be any graphics or decals, but I even managed to find those when I wanted a new badge for the side of mine. Great boat, can't go wrong!!

Unfortunately I have to sell mine have a look in the for sale threads if you're at all interested.

    C
