Hey Tony congrats on your purchase! The prop will depend on what motor and outdrive your boat has. If it’s a merc they will usually have a sticker on top telling what the wide open throttle (wot) should be. If you’re not getting enough rpm’s you may need to go down in pitch. Too much rpm then go up in pitch. As for a manual there’s probably not much out there. The original Mariah did not make model specific manuals just a generic boating safety manual. I’m not sure if sea fox Mariah made manuals if they did I’m sure it was pretty generic as well. Best bet is to use your engine serial number to find what service manual applies to it and order one, they are the best.

Generally there is a plastic cover on top of the motor that has information such as the serial numbers of the motor, transom, and outdrive. Also usually states spark plug gap, max rpm, and a few other things. A 5.0 is probably 4400-4800 for wot. Can google to be sure. Mercury marine website has a parts lookup page with exploded diagrams for your serial number motor makes finding correct parts a breeze. This forum is about abandoned at this point, not many people come on here anymore. The Facebook page is much more active so join that if you’re on there.
