Default Proud New Mariah Boat Owner

Hello All,
How do you do?
I just bought my first real boat, somewhat sporadically I have to admit, but am really glad about
as this boating thing looks to be a lot of fun and already my friends are envious of me . I am quite happy I chose a Mariah, without knowing much about this boat builder, it is becoming apparent I made a good choice with this one.
She's a 1994 Mariah Davaniti 225 Cuddy Cabin and has been well maintained by her previous owner.
I expect to make many updates and a few modifications over the years as she is mostly original. Water ready, we're going for our first cruise this weekend since getting her home. I've bee out to see her everyday trying to familiarize myself with the boat and cleaning her.
It's going to take me a while to get used to driving such a big boat (21 feet) with cuddy cabin, I'm used to a bowrider.
The Mariah Owners Club comes very well recommended, and I'm glad to join today.
From this club: I'm hoping to get more informed about my new (used) boat and Mariah boats in general (I already understand they are/were a good boat builder similar in quality to Sea Ray).
And I'm hoping to get help locating parts as it seems a hard thing to do so far... whether original or aftermarket I don't really know where to start.
anyway, that's a subject for another discussion.

Happy boating

Sincerely,

Agentinsider

wow...boat looks clean...How much if you don't mind me asking? I have the same one, only different color. I think I paid $6500 or $5500...I can't remember it's been so long...I still haven't even taken it out. I love the boat though...

I don't mind, I paid more than that that but you're right... it is very clean and dry and water ready. It's been kept in a dry stack for years and lovingly cared for by the previous owner with a bunch of extras (custom made tandem trailer and everything that was in the boat -fish-finder, life-jackets, radio etc). Everything works even the speedometer, I paid $12,500 CAD not sure how much that is in American.
looks like Mariah boats are appreciating

I am happy for you and your achievement, and I also enjoyed the support given to you by the closest people. If you want to make some changes, try not to hurry up. I understand how enthusiastic you might be after this purchase, but you have to think about making some changes to avoid regretting them later. One of my friends did before changing the interior of his newly bought boat to look up to some boats for rent, like the ones on vistayachts, because they have a lot of different ideas from which you could take a lot of inspiration.
