Default New to me 96 Talari 215

Long story short, I got a "free" boat! It had been sitting for 4 years and was no longer being used....ran when parked sorta deal. Anyways, I got it running this weekend, once insured and registered, we'll take it to the lake. If it gets around, then the project begins! Paint and gel coat a re rough, vinyl is super rough, the cuddy smells like a 70s camper. Any tips out there on these boats as I go from this first test on the lake and beyond?

Thanks,
Dan

Ran it till it came up to temp and I could verify no engine leaks, alternator was working, bilge pump, trim, fwd, reverse, out drive. Fuel tank is freshly siphoned, gas was def bad. I'll take her slow on the first go round, thanks for tips.

Added to the list, I didn't even know that there were grease fittings on there

So gimble just uses same grease as a U-Joint I'm assuming?

Is there special grease for the coupler?

Motor coupler uses EP grease due to high pressures between the steel drive shaft splines and the softer aluminum splines of the motor coupler. You don't want the coupler to fail, need to pull the engine to change it. I'm interested middle of that job now.
Gimbal bearing uses water proof trailer grease.
