Default advice needed

I'm not a Mariah owner but looking at a 2005 Mariah SX19 that is for sale. Wondering what its status is since the closing of the company in 2001. Are they just as well built by the new company. The boat looks really nice on the sale listing but are they to the standard that most of you long time members are accustomed to? thanks for any help or advice. Gordo

The original Mariah boats and the 2nd rendition of Mariah boats are two completely different animals. The original was a well built boat with features that outdid most of their competitors and designed to appeal to more of a discerning buyer. The 2nd version built by Sea-Fox was simply built to a price point. Sea-Fox dropped the line in 2013 and the Mariah name has since disappeared.

Thanks Mikeyt. Is there anything in particular that I should look at or for on this boat that I should be cautious about or is it worth considering a 2005 Mariah SX19

I really dont have a lot of knowledge about the Sea-Fox built boats as I've never owned one or worked on one. Do a site search here for "SX19" and see what others who do own them have to say. There is one Owners Review of an SX19 here.

That said, there is a bit of a 'Buying a Used Mariah' guide on this site that may help you out.
