I have a 1999 Shabah 182 and just dicovered the bilge pump is not running. It won't run from the console, even though the light on the switch comes on, or the float switch. Would this point to a bad pump? I have read through the other threads but didn't excatly see anything just like this.

Check the fuse.
Use a test light or voltmeter at the pump/float switch to see if you have power running to the pump.
Check ground wires , they are a usual suspect in electrical issues due to corrosion.
If you have power to switch , but not out , need new switch.

I had already checked the fuse. The test light is next. Thanks for the advice.

I have 1992 1900z and had the same problem it was the pump in my case. It was not real fun to get to, to change.
