Default Bilge pump

I have a 91 diablo. How do u tell if the bilge pump is working, I have a toggle switch on the dash but I don't hear it coming on. Plz help

    Look under the motor right at the front. It is right there. Should have a 3/4" line from it to the thru hull going out the side. Flip on your switch , remove engine dog house , listen , if you can't hear anything get a test light and make sure you have power going to the pump. If you don't look under the dash by the steering wheel and you'll see the fuses up underneath. Check and clean contact points.
    If you have power at the pump , time for a new pump cause its done.

    You can test the "Automatic" feature of the pump by putting some water from a hose into the bilge area (While on a trailer of course). Then pull the drain plug to remove any leftover water after testing.
