I purchased a used Mariah last summer even know they seller told me that everything was up to far on the maintenance. I spent sometime reading the posts and reviewing the suggestions on this Forum. I can happyly say that I am glad I listen and pay the extra money to have a few extra things and inspections done. Even though I would have been glad to do them myself, I asked around the marina and other friends that have boats and found a good mechanic. I had all the fluids, gear lube and filters replaced. Since the boat is six years old I told the mechanic to replace the water propeller in the lower unit, which I am told by the mechanic that it needed to be replaced once he pulled the lower unit. I also had them pull the sterndrive and it was discovered it was leaking. Mechanic clean it out and inspected and made the necessary repairs. See pictures attached. So why am I posting well I wanted to say that the information posted on this forum is very vaulable and wanted to say thank you for taking to post it!!!

Good to hear the site is helpful to you! I know it has helped me many times. As for doing the repairs to your boat that is smart to get that stuff out of the way before the season starts!!
