Default dash guages acting weird after winter

i bought my 1995 mariah z202 at the begining of last summer and enjoyed everything about it..! it is in top notch condition and didnt have any problems with it last summer..

i got it winterized at our local marine store and it sat the rest of the winter..i fired it up and took it to the lake..everything seemed to be goin great until my dash guages started acting weird...i first noticed that when the thing on the right side of the hour meter would tick my guages would kinda pulse a lil bit as in go up a lil bit and came rite back down and it seemed to be every time that the thing on the right side of the hour meter would tick....and then it got even stranger...so next thing that started hapening was that after having the boat on the water for about 15min all my guages would peak out...!?? and i could eather turn off the boat and re-start it and that would work or i could turn the navigation lite nob or hit sum of the acc. switchs and that would sometimes bring it back to normal..!?? if anyone has any advice please let me know my boat is way to nice for it to be doing somethin like this..!

    Hi lcoen777,

Sounds like you have a ground issue. Due to the nature of boats, corrosion is always a problem. Do a search on the forum and you'll find several members who have had similar issues and what it took to fix.

I would start at the battery and insure all connections are clean and tight (typically the first thing that gets disconnected for winterizing), then work my way behind the dash. Check all the common grounds.

    Good luck,
    WetWilly
