Default Original decal stripe woes

Have searched for a sign shop and custom car decal shops to find someone that can replicate the accent stripes on my 96 Talari. No dice. The pewter color isn't even made anymore that will match the other two wide stripes that are painted on. The decals on the boat now have lots of dock dings and tears and it looks like crap. I've decided that my best choice is to remove the old decals and maybe it won't look bad without them. I'm thinking of going with another style decal. You guys have any ideas what would look good?

As long as you have a few nuts, bolts and screws left over after the job is done, it should work!

I removed my graphics for the same reason, scratches etc. Once they were off I liked the way she looked without any additional graphics.

That seems to be my only option. I'll be doing that tonight. It should look ok!

Well.... After an hour and a six pack, the graphics are gone. Actually looks better than she did before.

I used a drill with a pinstripe eraser wheel. Most of it came off pretty easy

I carefully lifted a corner with a razor blade then used a hair dryer to heat the graphic while slowly pulling with my hand. Came off pretty quickly. I then wiped it down with lacquer thinner, washed and waxed.
