Hello. I am new to owning a boat. My first one is a 1995 Barchetta 182. Engine and out drive were replaced and I'm taking on the interior. Boat came with snap on covers which are in great shape but water still gets under them due to how the water just runs down the windshield and under the covers. While pulling all my seat vinyl I found that the 2 bow seats against the windshield were completely water logged and rotted. These pieces were the worst of any on the boat. I noticed and have read about other people saying that the cup holders always have water in them. I purchased replacements with drains but I know this won't match all of the water. Has anyone come up with a solution for this? I know they held up 20 years previously but I'm hesitant to just rebuilt them without solving the actual problem.

Any advise appreciated.

FYI, for anyone interested I had my vinyl done by copycat upholstery in Florida. I have read mixed reviews but my experience has been great. There were a few minor mistakes and I even damaged one of the pieces but I'm sending them back to get repaired at no expense to me, even the one I damaged. Hope this helps anyone looking to take on the same project.
